We are happy to announce the release of one of the most-requested Sales Station features: support for searching the full catalog of items for sale. Since its release, one of Sales Station’s key differentiators is providing access to everything configured for sale in Doubleknot and not being limited to the items that are assigned to cash register buttons. With the new search feature, it’s even faster and easier to add any other kind of item to the purchase.
Now, when you select a category in More Items to Purchase, the Search field and button are displayed at the top of the page. You can enter a few characters, tap Search and see everything that matches your search term. Benefits of the new search feature include:
- Faster transactions. Cashiers can more easily locate events, memberships, tickets, merchandise and booking options that aren’t configured as buttons on the main register screen.
- Improved performance. For organizations with a large inventory, you no longer have to wait for all of the items in the category to load or scroll through long list. Just enter a few characters of the item you’re looking for in the search field, and tap Search. (To optimize performance, the only the first 100 items in the selected category are displayed, and you must use the search feature to locate items that aren’t in the first 100 results.)
To use the new search feature, follow these steps in Sales Station:
- Tap the More Items to Purchase button at the bottom of the screen (to the right of the cash register icon). A list of all available categories is displayed.
- Tap the category of the item you’re looking for.
- At the top of the page, enter a few characters in the name of the item you’re searching for.
- Tap Search. Everything that matches your search term will be displayed.
- Tap an item to add it to the sale. The main Sales Station page will be displayed and the item will be added to the purchase.
Searching the Products category for “mug” displays all mugs for sale.
The Search field and button are outlined in red.
The Sales Station app is available at no extra cost to all Doubleknot customers. The app provides a fast, easy way to sell and validate tickets, check in participants, update registrations, sell merchandise and collect any kind of balance due. Doubleknot infrastructure upgrades and enhancements are scheduled to take place tomorrow and next week. - Saturday, October 13 between 11 PM and 1 AM Eastern / 8 PM and 10 PM Pacific
- Tuesday, October 16 between 9 PM and 11 PM Eastern / 6 PM and 8 PM Pacific
