Girl Scouts of Northern California Chooses Doubleknot for Winterfest 2012 Registration Software
San Jose, CA, February 4, 2013 – Doubleknot Inc., a leading provider of integrated software solutions for mission-based organizations, recently partnered with the Girl Scouts of Northern California (GSNorCal) to provide the online and onsite registration software for the GSNorCal Winterfest event on December 1,2012.
"Winterfest was the last big event for the Girl Scouts' 100th year," said Michelle Purviance, Senior Director, Business Operations for GSNorCal. “With the sheer number of visitors and participants we expected to attend, we needed a reliable online ticketing system to streamline registration and efficiently manage check-ins during Winterfest."
Doubleknot's online event registration software produced QR-coded tickets that were emailed automatically with a registration receipt when completed online. This eliminated the need for attendees to physically visit the local scout office for the purchase. The system also automatically sent reminder emails with the tickets two days before the event.
During Winterfest 2012, tickets were scanned at the door by 12 staff members using iPads and iPhones running Doubleknot's Mobile Check In application. Scanning worked perfectly, and all attendees were processed in record time.
